Hello Derek,

This letter gives me the opportunity to commend you on the excellence and professionalism you displayed in a real estate transaction recently.

All of a sudden I noted a new real estate for sale sign erected on the adjacent property to my home. I was surprised but pleased to see it was available for I had considered offering to purchase the property for over five years. It is vacant, unimproved, 5+ acre parcel which has worried me from the threat of wild fire since the wind generally blows toward my home from the vacant parcel direction. I also “enjoy” heavy dust in the summertime from off-road riders who do not respect private property of others in the desert.

When I called to inquire about the sale I was told the listing price which was too high in my opinion based on some research I had done prior to phoning your office. I decided to make what I believed to be a reasonable and fair offer. After some negotiating a number was settled on which was agree to by all parties. My deposit was given you and an escrow was opened. I requested a copy of the preliminary title policy which was quickly emailed to me by Chicago Title Company. There were some old liens showing up which needed to be cleared. Eventually they were cleared by bond.

Throughout the entire process you and other members of your team kept me current to the status and while I was not in a rush to close the process moved along to my complete satisfaction. Escrow was closed without a hitch and all parties came away with what they expected.

Recently I listed my home for sale with Derek De Ville. He was also my son's widows Realtor. He did a fabulous job selling her home so quickly, so I called him and listed my home with him. Within a weeks time he had a buyer. Unfortunately the buyer hit the time when the loans/lenders were having problems. Their escrow fell out because of this. Within another week, he had a good offer for me with a couple who were also pre-approved for a loan, 30 day escrow, and the escrow closed approximately 3 days early. I was really happy with his work.
